After a few conversations via text and on the phone I decided to meet this woman (let’s call her “Sandra”) who appeared to be really nice. We met in a park, walked and talked and all of a sudden she was pointing at an older man who was walking towards us.
“Let’s take him out!” she said all of a sudden.
“What do you mean?” I asked, puzzled.
“We can take him out, come on” she replied.
So there is this old man and she suggests to “take him out”. Take him out to dinner? I’m sure that’s not what she meant. That’s an odd thing to say. I didn’t answer and the old man passed us saying “I hope you’re enjoying your day”.
We sat down on a park bench and when a jogger passed us on his second round she said: “How about him? Do you think we can take him?”
What was going on here, I asked myself. I asked her and she looked at me with a strange look in her eyes without answering the question.
Incidents like this kept happening on the 2nd and 3rd date, lots of mood swings during our text conversations (never in person though), this whole situation was awkward.
When I learned that she had killed her ex husband in self defense years ago I was thinking to myself to better not pursue this and we parted ways.
But this “Let’s take him out!” still echoes in my ears after all those years.
This didn’t happen to me, a good friend of mine contributed this story to my blog.Thank you for sharing! 🙂
